The Voigt House Victorian Museum is excited to once again be part of the
Heritage Hill Home Tour, October 4th & 5th. The House will be open extended
hours on Saturday and Sunday this year to host the second-annual Voigt
German Fest. Come and enjoy a unique Oktoberfest experience, with food
prepared by our own Chef Hans Dokl, authentic German beers and wine
beverages, and toe-tapping music provided by local musicians.
This year's menu has been expanded to include Wiener Schnitzel Brötchen
(Vienna Schnitzel Sandwich), ZAC – ZAC (Grilled Pork Cutlet topped with a
Pineapple Ring, Provolone Cheese and Bistro Sauce on a Kaiser Roll) and
Traditional Weisswurst (Bratwurst). All are served with choice of Kartoffel
Salad (German Potato Salad) or Pommes Frites (French Fries). And don't
forget to save room for a piece of Chef Hans' own homemade Apfel (Apple)
Strudel with Powdered Sugar! Beverage offerings will include Glühwein - a
warm red wine simmered with cloves and cinnamon; White Wine Spritzer - a
chilled white wine spritzed with soda and Warsteiner Dunkel - a traditional
Oktoberfest draft beer. Bottled waters, assorted sodas and coffee will also
be available for purchase.
Heritage Hill tour ticket holders will see the Voigt House at no
additional charge. Non-ticket holders may pay regular admission prices ($3
for adults, $2 for seniors and children, with Free Admission for Museum
members). Admission to the House is not required to attend the German Fest. |
